Why You Need To Use A Welding Screen

The welding world is not often the safest work environment. You are exposed to noise hazards, burn risks, electric shock, fumes, and of course UV and IR Radiation. Whether welding is your career or weekend hobby it is so important that you practice safety and use certified products.

One of our most requested and popular welding accessories are our Weldas® welding screens.

Welding Screens create customized spaces designated specifically for welding operations. They can also reduce noise levels throughout the building, contain high temperatures from welding flames to one space, keep welding fumes from spreading, and, ultimately, keep welders safe from harm.

Heat Protection

Welding can produce flames up to 6,300 degrees Fahrenheit, which could put those around the area at great risk. While welders wear the appropriate clothing to protect themselves from high heat welding produces, other people may not. Utilizing our innovative COMBOframe™ screens and frames allow you to adjust and configure your screens in many ways to fit all of your shop’s needs.

Noise Reduction

Welding produces noise levels that can be damaging to both welders and those in the building where welding activity takes place. Welders often even wear earplugs to protect their hearing from the loud sounds of metal grinding.

The noise produced from welding areas can ultimately become a distraction to employees working in other sections of the building. When properly positioned, our welding screens can create a barrier from the rest of the building to contain the noise.

Welding Fumes

Welding can produce fumes and chemicals that are potentially harmful to those not wearing a mask or protective gear. These potentially harmful substances need to be contained in the safest way possible. A welding screen acts as an enclosure that when combined with ventilation, respirators, and cooling fans, creates a safe environment for those working inside and outside of the enclosure.

Our flame-resistant screens protect welders and others in the facility from any flashes or other debris. Because our welding screens are composed of heavy-duty Materials and certified you can trust that they will withstand high heat and provide the ultimate level of safety to you and those around you.
